Q’STRAINT Continues its Commitment to Be Strong
After a highly successful first year of sponsorship with Be Strong – a non-profit organization empowering youth to prevent bullying, social isolation and suicide – Q’STRAINT co-president Julie Boynton is excited about the ongoing partnership with the anti-bullying organization and what it continues to do in support of their anti-bullying campaign. Be Strong has devised a first-of-its-kind student-led approach with nearly 300 student leaders in 41 states helping an estimated 220,000 students.
In 2018 Be Strong and the NYC Department of Education hosted over 2,500 students at the Carnegie Hall, not including the 500,000+ students and educators watching intently and remotely online via a streaming service across the nation. During this incredible event Be Strong continued to share its message of youth empowerment, wellness and community involvement so that anyone who is or has been affected by bullying can gain the necessary strength and power to rise up and triumph over these challenges.
Houston Is Honored to Host This Year’s Be Strong National Event
This year Be Strong will be taking their wonderful cause on the road again. This time the “Be Strong Live Tour,” will take place in Houston, Texas on October 17th, 2019. Don’t worry if you can’t make it to Houston. The National Bullying Prevention Event will once again be streaming live. So you can still watch it on your phone, tablet, or laptop from the comforts of your home.
Be Strong and Q’STRAINT Share a Common Connection
It’s not hard to find the strong connection between Be Strong and Q’STRAINT and their unbridled passion to make a difference to combat bullying. Both organizations advocate and empower their communities through their commitment to raise awareness of bullying and providing the necessary resources for those attempting to overcome their disabilities and emotional challenges.
In the case of Q’STRAINT, the wheelchair securement provider designs and manufactures safety and accessibility equipment for people with limited mobility. The companies overarching mission is to Make Safety Accessible for all disability passengers. While Be Strong inspires youth to prevent bullying as well as many other social issues afflicting our younger generation, by creating programs, staging live streaming events, developing applications, and entering into strategic partnerships geared to ignite change in unhealthy and damaging peer behavior.
Q’STRAINT and Be Strong Moving Forward
“As far as I am concerned, the Q’STRAINT Be Strong commitment and relationship is just getting started,” said Boynton. “We look forward to many years of working together closely to improve the life conditions of our youth by forging new alliances and raising awareness of this critical social issue that is not going away anytime soon.”
