People learned a lot of new techniques. I\u2019ve even got some drivers who have been doing this same job for 20 years that learned something during that session.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The Special School District has a mix of<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Q\u2019Straint QRT and Sure-Lok Titan retractable securement systems on its buses. Mulder says that, compared to other devices the system has used, these retractors provide advantages to passengers and drivers alike.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner el_class=\u00bbqs-post-container\u00bb css=\u00bb.vc_custom_1501009582841{margin-top: 0px !important;margin-bottom: 0px !important;background-color: #ffffff !important;}\u00bb][vc_column_inner css=\u00bb.vc_custom_1501008797206{padding-top: 40px !important;padding-bottom: 40px !important;background-color: #ffffff !important;}\u00bb][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h6 style=\"font-size: 28px; line-height: 1.8em; color: #013ca6;\"><em>\u201cThis past year we had someone from Sure-Lok\u00a0come in and do a securement training, which was awesome&#8230;He did eight one-hour sessions, broken into smaller groups, and the outcomes were great. Because they\u2019re self-retracting, they\u2019re continually making sure that chair is secure and tight, compared to before when a chair could work back and forth and it would loosen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">For drivers, Mulder says, \u201cthere is an advantage because you just hook it and release it, compared to having to either ratchet it or wrap it over. So they\u2019re not having to get down on their hands and knees as much as they used to, and they\u2019re not getting injured as much as they used to.\u201d Plus, with its distinctive blue webbing and highly-visible, yellow \u201clocked\u201d indicator tag, the AL700 Titan Retractor Series lets operators know when the retractor is in locked mode.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Besides keeping his drivers current on the proper use of safety-related equipment, Mulder also believes in keeping his system current with the latest solutions. That\u2019s why the Special School District became an early adopter of the Sure-Lok GO2 adjustable cylinder holder. Unlike permanently installed mounting systems, GO2 attaches quickly and securely to standard floor tracks whenever it\u2019s needed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cIf a child switches routes, switches schools or switches homes, or if the bus is down that day, we can just grab the GO2 and go,\u201d Mulder says. With the previous fixed system, \u201cwe were kind of limited,\u201d says Mulder. \u201cIf the bus went down we had to have a backup bus with the same bracketry. With the GO2, we can just maneuver or move that thing around from bus to bus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner el_class=\u00bbqs-post-container
