With 16 stores all along the East Coast, Ride Away is one of the largest providers of wheelchair accessible vehicles in the U.S. and one of the largest purchasers of securement systems.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; image=&#8221;28779&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cI\u2019ve used virtually every product,\u201d Lore says. In doing so, he\u2019s seen how different manufacturers deal with the industry\u2019s top challenges of quality and change.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cIn the past, there were small cottage-type manufacturers building interesting products, but not really building them with a level of quality, or \u2014 as I always say \u2014 the engineering budget of a Ford,\u201d he says. \u201cThey wanted to do well and build a good quality product, but sometimes reality got in the way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">He says that, regardless of size or budget, some manufacturers did not adequately keep up with continual change.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cEvery September, all the vehicles change and every January, the wheelchairs change,\u201d he says. \u201cI think other manufacturers did a good job for a long time, but they ended up becoming stagnant. So now they\u2019re in a situation where they\u2019re selling a one-size-fits-all product, whereas Q\u2019Straint is on the front lines making sure that their equipment meshes with new products.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h6 style=\"font-size: 28px; line-height: 1.8em; color: #013ca6;\"><em>\u201cIf you want to do what\u2019s right for your clients and your company, you\u2019re sending a bad message when you stay with old technology&#8230;We did exhaustive testing in looking at different products, and we feel very confident that, for our clients, QLK is the better product.\u201d<\/em><\/h6>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\u201cIt\u2019s always a little preferable to not make changes for the sake of making changes,\u201d he adds, \u201cbut I believe with Q\u2019Straint\u2019s new products, there are compelling reasons to change.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lore quickly ticks off those compelling reasons: \u201cThe new stabilizer is far superior to anything on the market. The electronics are far superior to anything on the market. And with the QLK, I could immediately go to a 3-1\/2 or a 4-inch-high box without a lot of changes. On the competitors\u2019 products, you have to stack 1-by-1 steel. Q\u2019Straint was ahead of the curve by making lockdowns that were already taller.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Lore is so impressed with Q\u2019Straint engineering, he\u2019s even switching to Q\u2019Straint\u2019s new DiOR (Drive-In-Occupant-Restraint) technology from his company\u2019s own passive restraint system. \u201cWe\u2019re throwing our tested design in the garbage in favor of the DiOR, because it works in a lot more applications, it is a lot more flexible and versatile, and it\u2019s backed by a company like Q\u2019Straint.
