Dear: Jim Here are some of the QRT Deluxe Securement System features that Pierce Transit has found beneficial to our overall operations: 

• They are very easy to use and are a great time saver for the operators.
• Since the automatic tensioning (self-tensioning) tightens the belts without the operator manually having to tighten them, the opportunity for having on-the-job injuries has been reduced.
• Dual tensioning knobs on all retractors allow the operator the flexibility to manually tighten the belts if needed.
• Seat belts, for the customer using a wheelchair, are also retractable making it easier to use and more comfortable for the passenger.
• All securement devices are interchangeable.
• The J-hooks that are attached to the belt end of the retractor make it fast and easy to apply to the mobility device.
• Release levers on the retractors allow fast and easy removal.
• Webbing loops supplied by QStraint and used in conjunction with the J-hooks allows the operator to secure virtually any type of mobility device.
• Because the belts are in the retractor they stay cleaner.
• The passengers and operators like the system since it is so easy and fast to use. In fact operators have wondered why we haven’t installed them on the entire fleet yet.
