Where will this year’s seminar be held?

This year we are excited to announce it will be held at the Embassy Suites in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The hotel is located at: 1100 SE 17th Street, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 33316.

What is the schedule?

The Day 1 runs from 8am-4pm, followed by dinner and an evening reception. Day 2 runs from 8am-12:30pm. Attendees are asked to arrive 1 day prior and can schedule departing flights for 3pm or later on the second day of training.

What can we expect to learn at the Seminar?

The seminar provides comprehensive training on all aspects of wheelchair transportation, including - but not limited to - regulations & best practices, understanding & reducing liability, securement equipment options, securement principles, specification writing, and securing difficult mobility devices. Our focus is on training attendees to apply the knowledge they acquire to problem solve real-world securement and transportation issues.

What is the cost?

There is NO COST for the National Training Seminar. However, some expenses will be the responsibility of the attendee.

What expenses are included?

Q'Straint and Sure-Lok are happy to cover the following expenses while you are at our seminar:
Hotel room for 2 nights, Lunch for 2 days, dinner after the first full day of training, and ground transportation if we go off site during the sessions.

What expenses are attendees expected to cover?

Attendees can expect to cover their airfare to and from Ft. Lauderdale and ground transportation to and from the airport. In addition, any meals not expressly covered by Q'Straint and Sure-Lok, along with any incidentals while staying at the hotel are the responsibility of the attendee. The hotel is pleased to offer a buffet breakfast each morning along with a happy hour each night.

How can I register?

The registration form sign-up button can be found above or by clicking here. There you can select if you want to attend the School Bus or Paratransit Seminar. Since registration fills up quickly, you will be notified within 45 days of registering if you have been accepted into the program.

The seminar is geared towards those able to effect change and influence practices within their organizations. Attendees typically include Specification Writers, DOT and DOE administrators, Transportation Leaders (i.e. directors and supervisors), Safety Trainers, and Q'Straint / Sure-Lok Dealers.
